1933
Gibson L-00
This
guitar arrived in remarkably good condition for its age.
There were no major cracks or other damage and,
unlike most guitars of its age, it did not require a neck re-set.
The most significant problem was the bridge. It had been
installed 5/32” too far away from the nut leading to some
pretty poor intonation. As well, many sets
of tuners had been
installed over the years leaving no less than
26 holes in the
headstock. Both were repaired and after
re-fretting and set-up
work, minor touch-up work was
done to protect the wood
and cover the original sin.
